Under the guidance of our Dean, Dr. Wasundhara Bhad (Patil) Mam, THE DEPARTMENT OF ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY, Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai Organized a Wellness Program on 16th December with Yoga and wellness from 7:30am-8:15am in the front Porch area at main gate of the dental College building.

The activity was preceded by Yoga instructor Vandana Zutshi-From The Yoga Certification Board from Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. Of India, certified Level 3 – Yoga Teacher and Evaluator and The Yoga Certification Board certified Level 2 – Yoga Therapist. Taking personal Yoga sessions.

She preceded the session with yoga asanas Aastha Vidhi-a legal professional who has transitioned from the courtroom to the yoga studio. Armed with 200 hours of Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) training from the yoga institute, Mumbai cultivates a nurturing environment for students to explore mindfulness, strength, and inner balance through their practice.

She preceded the session with warm up excercises Shamila M S- a passionate yoga practitioner since childhood. Despite formal education in Computer Engineering, the passion for yoga led her to pursue a career in the ancient practice. Having completed over 1100 hours of formal teacher’s training courses across various yoga forms from esteemed institutions like The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, she now extends her passion by conducting online and offline classes, extending the transformative benefits of yoga to individuals seeking balance and wellness in their lives.

She preceded the session with meditation and pranayama.

The event received an enthusiastic participation from students, interns and staff.

This activity serves as an attempt towards creation of a happier and healthier working environment.
